The Election for Marin County Sheriff ...
............................................... is the hot news in the Spring of 2010.
The June 8, 2010 ballot will contain two names for the new consolidated post of Sheriff-Coroner. Coroner Ken Holmes is challenging Sheriff Robert Doyle for the position.
The Marin County Deputy Sheriffs' Association is happy to announce the results of an endorsement vote which decided the candidate the DSA will endorse in the race for Sheriff.
In March of 2010, 186 ballots were sent out to regular DSA members. By April 7, 2010, 126 of the ballots had been returned. These votes were tallied by President Hugh Baker, Secretary Steve Shawler and Treasurer Karen Wofford. The results are as follows:
Robert Doyle: 115
Ken Holmes: 11
Congratulations to Robert Doyle.
We look forward to supporting you in the upcoming election!

On March 23 and 24, 2010, The Marin County Deputy Sheriffs' Association Political Action Committee sponsored a public question and answer session with current Sheriff Bob Doyle and current Coroner Ken Holmes. Both men welcomed the chance to speak with the Deputy Sheriff's Association and ask for their endorsement. Videos of those interviews may be seen below. A transcript was also created from the interviews and may be downloaded below.
The Marin County Deputy Sheriffs' Association apologizes to both candidates for the poor quality of the videos.
